Jess Chick

Senior MSK Physiotherapist
Jess is an experienced MSK physiotherapist with a strong foundation in both public and private healthcare. She began her career in the NHS in Wales, working across a range of specialties before relocating to New Zealand for 18 months. There, she spent 14 months working in private practice in Christchurch before providing specialist inpatient rehabilitation across orthopaedics and neurosurgery.
This experience has given her a strong understanding of how complex medical conditions affect musculoskeletal recovery, shaping her holistic approach to care. Jess combines hands-on therapy with exercise rehabilitation to create tailored treatment plans, using techniques such as dry needling and sports taping, alongside ForceDeck technology to guide recovery.
Alongside her clinic work, Jess has experience providing pitchside injury management for rugby teams in both Wales and New Zealand. Outside the clinic, she enjoys trail running, horse riding, and rural sports, and is passionate about helping clients return to the activities they love.
FAQs

Jess’ Approach to Physio:

I enjoy having a good chat and really getting to know my clients, so we can work towards goals that are meaningful and realistic for them. I take a holistic approach to rehab, focusing on both physical and mental wellbeing, and helping people get back to a healthy, active lifestyle that works for them.
Outside of the clinic......
Having grown up on a working farm in Dorset, I have a love for the rural countryside – the main reason for my stint in New Zealand! I enjoy most sports, whether it’s horse riding, trail running, or playing in social tennis and hockey leagues.
I’ve always known I wanted to work with people and do something that helps them directly. My interest in physio started after I tore my ACL skiing when I was younger and went through rehab myself. I liked how it combined understanding injuries with helping people get back to the things they enjoy.
I enjoy treating a wide range of conditions – anything and everything really. I like the variety of people I work with and how no two injuries or conditions are the same.
